5 Tips for the Perfect Morning

Tip # 1 – Prep for your Morning the Night Before

Take some time the night before to set yourself up for a great morning. Make sure your space is tidy and clean, set your water glass and coffee mug ready, put your slippers and cozy clothes by your bed. Turn the dishwasher on etc etc. Basically just make sure your space is how you like it so that you wake up to a welcoming atmosphere!

Tip # 2 – Use an Alarm sound that you Like 

Honestly… there is nothing worse then being woke up and starting your day with that horrid iphone alarm sound am I right? Opt for music or a sound that makes you feel at peace but still wakes you up. Personally, I love the sound of birds chirping so I try to find alarms with that option. You could also get those lights that slowly dim on to wake you up. 

Tip # 3 – Do your Skin Care and Brush your Teeth right away

This is always something I’ve done and I can’t imagine not doing it. The second I get out of bed, I put on my cashmere robe, fluffy slippers and I take myself to brush my teeth and do my full skincare routine. It wakes me up and makes me feel soooo good! (Also I always make sure to wash my face with cold water… it reduces inflammation and wakes you up 10x faster!) 

Tip # 4 – Have a big Glass of Lemon Water Before Anything else

Girl, I love my morning coffee but before I even think about making it, I have at least one big glass of cold lemon water. Your body hasn’t had any hydration in hours and it needs it. There’s also so many health benefits to lemon water and it’s honestly just so refreshing! 

Tip # 5 – Set Aside time for Journalling 

Last but not least… this is a NON-NEGOTIABLE. Journalling, in my mind is SO important! You don’t have to take a lot of time to do it just. a few minutes if that’s all you have.
